Osarhiemen Iyare, MD is a public health physician and field epidemiologist with expertise in community medicine, infectious disease epidemiology, disease surveillance, outbreak prevention, immunisation, occupational health and health systems research.
His research spans malaria, Lassa fever, COVID-19, vaccination acceptance, and public health governance. He has contributed to studies on malaria in pregnancy, Lassa fever prevention among healthcare workers, and determinants of vaccination uptake in Ebonyi State.
Dr. Iyare is recognised for bridging hospital-based care with population-level prevention, contributing to surveillance systems, infection prevention strategies, and evidence-based public health planning in Nigeria.
